More About JRI

Who We Are

We are a workforce development organisation that works at the intersection of education, industry, and community. We build the infrastructure that connects what Ghana’s graduates can do with what Ghana’s employers actually need.

Based at the Nyansa Square campus in East Legon, Accra, we share a home with the Institute for Advanced Teaching and Learning, the J.B. Short Institute for Ethics, and the Nyansa Tech Hub — four institutions under one roof, working on the same problem from different angles.

Our Founder

The JobReady Institute was founded by Dr. Nefertiti Puplampu — educator, researcher, and Executive Director of The Nefertiti Project. Dr. Puplampu has spent over two decades working on the challenge of 21st-century teaching, learning, and workforce readiness. She is also the founder of the Institute for Advanced Teaching and Learning and the J.B. Short Institute for Ethics, Honesty and Professional Competence.

Our Focus

Ghana’s skills gap is not a mystery. It is well documented, widely experienced, and under-addressed. Graduates leave tertiary institutions without the practical, employer-ready competencies the market demands. Employers spend time and money remediating what institutions should have delivered. Young people start their careers already behind.

JobReady exists to disrupt that cycle — through honest public conversation, targeted technical training, and a growing network of employers, educators, and advocates who refuse to accept mediocrity as the default.

Our Home

JobReady operates from the Nyansa Square campus at Bathur Street, East Legon, Accra — a nearly one-acre knowledge campus that also houses the Nyansa Tech Hub STEM Lab, training and event spaces, and the offices of our partner institutions. The campus is the physical home of The Nefertiti Project’s work in Ghana.
