The JobReady Institute · Accra, Ghana
We bring employers, educators, and young career seekers together to name Ghana’s skills gap honestly — and train the specific people the market needs.
A registered NGO · An initiative of The Nefertiti Project
About
The JobReady Institute is an international centre for graduate employability established under The Nefertiti Project. The institute works with colleges and certification programmes to align their curricula with 21st-century employer needs — helping tertiary institutions remain relevant to the future of work through consistent, systematic curriculum review and revision.
In addition, JobReady conducts career market research and delivers targeted programmes to equip unemployed and underemployed graduates with in-demand, job-specific skills and up-to-date knowledge of today’s evolving labour market.
We are based at the Nyansa Square campus in East Legon, Accra — a nearly one-acre knowledge campus that houses training and meeting spaces, an event hall, and the offices of our partner institutions.
What We Do
JobReady works through three interconnected streams — convening, training, and advocacy. We identify the problem publicly, build the conversation around it, and train the specific people the market needs.
Stream 1
Annual events that put Ghana’s workforce problem on the agenda — with employers, educators, and young people in the same room for honest, structured conversation. Our events aim for clear outcomes: pledges, commitments, and actionable next steps.
Stream 2
Ghana is installing solar systems it cannot maintain and importing EVs it cannot service. Our cohort-based programme trains young Ghanaian graduates as certified solar PV and EV maintenance technicians — selected for ability, trained to international standards, ready to work.
Stream 3
An active research interest in Ghana’s graduate employability landscape. Our forthcoming publication — the JobReady book — examines the structural causes of the skills gap and offers a practical framework for institutions, employers, and policymakers.
Current Work
Our events calendar includes a Skills Gap Fireside Chat, a Tech Career Exposé, a Tech Career Day, and two fundraising events — all anchored at the Nyansa Square campus.
Convening

Convening

Enrolling Partners
A full-day event combining talks, career exposé, and an industry showcase at Nyansa Square. We are enrolling companies and professionals now.
